Homeschooling Should Feel Like Freedom — Not Overwhelm.

I help families build confident, flexible, personalized homeschool experiences for their kids.

Who I Work With

I work with homeschooling families at every stage, whether you're just exploring the idea, getting started, or looking to strengthen what you've already built. If you want a thought partner who has lived this journey from both sides of the desk, you're in the right place.

How I Can Help

Getting Started: Not sure where to begin? I'll help you understand Washington State requirements, choose a curriculum approach, and build a plan that works for your family.

Ongoing Support: Already homeschooling but feeling stuck or stretched thin? Let's figure out what's working, what isn't, and how to move forward with confidence.

Students with Learning Differences: I specialize in supporting families whose children learn differently, including students with IEPs, 504s, and special education needs.

Curriculum Guidance: Overwhelmed by curriculum choices? I'll help you find the right fit for your child's learning style, interests, and goals.

About Ruth

I'm Ruth Kane — a certified educator with over a decade of classroom experience, multiple endorsements including P–12 Special Education, and a personal history as a K–12 homeschool alumna. I know what it feels like to learn outside the traditional classroom, and I know what it takes to make that experience powerful. I started advising homeschool families because I believe parents deserve real support, not just a list of resources. Every family is different, and every learner deserves an education built around them.
